Just that feel

Ah! Down the lane of my life,
There appears to be no end for strife.
Tears roll down crawling on my cheek,
I see no purpose served when they leak.

With every experience being less a boon than a bane,
It so appears as if past is insane;
While some incidents happen just by and by,
Some leave too tough a mark, I dare not deny.

Wondering I am, if it is just the flow of ink,
Or for me it means a deeper link
Now all I do is to sit back and think,
Not everything is easy to digest, as water or a drink.

Believe it or not things change in a blink
Sometimes leaving happiness to shrink …

'Her day'

I would like to give no introduction to this post. Just run these thoughts in your mind and say “नारि शक्ति को सलाम !!“.

How would it be if grandpa had to tell stories at night n put you to bed ?

How would it be if grandpa had to prepare your favourite dish on the festival?

How would it be if grandpa had to put you on his lap all night long when you are unwell and still make you feel like a kid ?

How would it be if one day a husband had to wake up early and prepare coffee for his wife before she is out of bed ?

How would it be if a husband had to cook breakfast and make preparation for lunch before leaving to work ?

How would it be if a husband gave his wife a cup of good coffee in the evening when she returned home ?

How would it be if  dad had to get kids ready to school and also reach his workplace on time ?

How would it be if dad had to finish all office work and also sit back with kids to study ?

How would it be if dad had so much patience to clean up all our shelves and cupboards ?

How would it be if uncle took you out for shopping?

How would it be if your uncle had to take you on a walk to patch up a fight between you and parents?

How would it be if uncle had to convince your parents on an issue when they are against you?

How would it be if brothers had to write projects while a sister would lie down and play games?

How would it be if brothers had to cook for sis and family when mom is not in station?

How would it be if brothers could hide the silly mistakes that their younger sis did and still say “its ok” forget it?

How would it be if a fiancé felt it was still ok for his to –be wife to earn more than he does?

How would it be if a fiancée had his job transfered because his partner wished to study abroad ?

How would it be if a guy had to surrender his ego apart and apologize even if it was not his mistake just too keep the smile intact?

How would it be if a guy let his girl  yell at him when completely stressed and understand it was not intentional ?

How would it be if .......
it all happened one day !!!

men taking women's position and responsibility is not as simple as it appears to be .Right ??

that would be "her " day ...

the chairman of JGI

"Educate to empower "

R Chenraj Jain, a visionary, is the founder chairman of the Jain Group of Institutions. He is a person with a strong conviction that much more is possible than people ordinarily think. He always wishes to do something for a country like India and  change the history of illiteracy. He wishes to do the same by following the principle “educate to empower “.

Here were a few questions that this man who was hard pressed time answered to .

What or who has been your inspiration to start the JGI ?
I idolize swami Vivekananda. When he has been able to do so much for the country, I wish I could follow at least one bit of what he emphasized on .

Do you think formal education is necessary?
“Well, in today’s scenario it is a must as it is unlike in my times. So I advice one to at lest get a UG degree.

What is that one thing you ensure to privilege the students of the JGI with so that they stand apart from the crowd?
“I ensure every student gets exposure, conviction, a boost in the confidence level and develop a sort of passion towards their field.”

Do you think attendance is necessary?
“yes ,of course . the college functions only foe about 110 days every academic year .if a student has not attended 75% of these days I am pretty much sure that the knowledge and info acquired would be so limited . so I insist the students must have at least 75% .

Why is it that the commerce students are given more preference?
That is a very wrong notion. Arts and science are given equal preference too. It appears so because the commerce strength is more than double the strength of arts.

What are your future plans for the JGI ?
“I have always dreamt of having a total of 1000 branches al across the country  from where efficient leaders for the country could be picked .

realizing the dreams

With warm hugs and loads of affection , we were given a hearty welcome to this NGO located at Chamarajpet. With sparkling eye ,each kid here made us feel- at home. Each kid here is gifted to have not just a roof above their heads but also a second home. In the two hours that we spent her ,we were taken to a different world all-over .
Inspired by Don Boscos'  quote "look after the poor young",The Salesian sisters shouldered the responsibility and started Navajeevana . Seed for this fruit bearing organization was sown on the 16th of July 1995 and today there are approximately 150 girls of age groups varying from 3 years to 25 residing here .Girls rescued either by the police or volunteers  from horrifying situations, either run away form home due to serious issues or lost , are brought here and given a safe shelter here after government approval.
These children within whom a volcano of talents is being suppressed are put on the right path here .They are not denied of any opportunity .They are sent to schools such as GKBMS , Corporation high school and Nirmala English school for formal education. The interested ones are also given training in fields such as swimming, karate, dance and music.
One of the Members of this organisation ,Sister Jacintha said "With no discrimination, we accept these kids who come from different religious backgrounds. We all are a part of the same family. all we want at the end of the day is not publicity for this organisation. Any form of help to these girls is welcome. "
This organisation aims to sculpts the raw mold into beautiful sculptures. If you have a doubt about the fact whether these girls who once did not have shelter on their head nor clothes to wear are capable of so much ,all you have to do is visit this place and see it yourself .

"STAY UNDER THE UMBRELLAS "- THE CITY CELEBRITIES' MONSOON MANTRA

Just around the corner is the season of monsoon. With the umbrella markets and those of raincoats and sweaters running on high profit, here is something that faces a loss- our skin. With people suffering from problems like rashes and dry skin, monsoon is set to fill the well with sadness for skin. Though a cool shower tends to bring soothing effect after the season of scorching sun, this season is known to nurture infections and allergies. At the end of the day, these uninvited guests could be caught stealing nutrition from healthy skin. With doctors advising us to use highly concentrated disinfectants to a nutritionist advising us to have only homemade food; nice it may all sound. But ,for a perfect Indian who loves bondas and pakodas, it'll hold true that mistress tongue bears great influence on our master minds. The end recipient of all the lip-smacking food, our skin, comes into picture to pays all bills. Here is what some of our celebrities had to say about keeping their skin and hair healthy, fighting all the microscopic predators.
Ragini Dwivedi, model and actress "I prefer homemade face-pack and a Natural Essence wash. I also make sure I have a Lotus sunscreen on-varying from SPF 20 to SPF 50 during monsoon and summer." She also adds,"It's essential to get a hot-oil massage done for your hair at least once a week and use a deep conditioner along".She also mentioned her irresistible temptation towards spicy food especially during monsoon.
Bhavana Menon (Karthika Menon)actress "I am more of the tomboy types who loves to couch back at home wearing pull-overs, preferably the masculine kind" is what she had to say.She adds "Eat less of outside food and ensure you take in water both, good in quality and quantity". This lady with beautiful skin loves to get a pedicure done at Mantri. Emphasizing on the importance of scrubbing, she says its her daily routine to cleanse, tone and moisturize.
Priyanka Upendra, actress " Avoid getting wet in the rain and keep yourself well protected during the season .Use a moisturizer that suits your skin the best.Use less of makeup and take in lots of water".She also says it is important for one to take good care for hair during the season .
Ramya (Divya Spandana), actress "Drinking lots of water would be my mantra for the season .I make sure I moisturize irrespective of what the season it is"

While men are getting more conscious of their looks more than the women these days ,our city celebrities give contrasting opinions .Actors like
Ramesh Arvind and Puneeth Rajkumar said men usually do not bother much to take care of their skin, a few other youngisthan actors said the opposite. Here is what they had to say
Prem, actor "I wash my face at least thrice a day with cold water .I also make sure I drink a lot of water" .He also advices to use a night cream as it will help the skin feel rejuvenated .
Mahendra ,model "Make sure you cleanse our face at least twice a day and use an anti-bacterial cream as the skin is prone to a lot of infections during the season".He adds "I would advice one to avoid wearing shoes as it might lead to fungal infections".

Here we have a problem..who has the solution ...

we know to take precautions..who knows how to cure???

HOW SAFE IS BANGALORE ?

Fingers go pointing towards the western end of the country ,a three lettered place goa when the topic of insecurity creeps in .We better not forget that the nine lettered place Bangalore is no safer a nest. Three times the crime in proportion to the spelling happens here, the difference –not getting noticed. It could begin from an insignificant thing such as ragging a girl on the roadside, chain snatching or to even rape and murder. Well….is this why Bangalore is called the ‘hot hub’?
A man gets away easily after ragging or molesting a girl .lest we wonder about this not because it doesn’t bother us but because of the fact that we are “getting used to it”.
Well with all this happening we have turned ‘stone’ hearted…well for those who have an eye on this, it’s not a precious stone.
Today probably this is just a sibling of crime, but who is fertilizing it to a healthy tree. No doubt concerned officials put up a notice to take precautionary measures; but the ultimate question still remains unanswered –we will take precautions
,” BUT WILL THE DISEASED EVER BE CURED???”
